Hurley has had success thus far at every level, I expect his trajectory to continue.
Rod, I do recall the Harrick days....yup, they were very heady! Larry Farmer was also a great addition to the coaching staff.
Lets hope Hurley leads us to similar heights.

Re: Questions for: Kenny Green?
I've seen scant amounts of footage of the 78 URI Duke game. I saw a few seconds of it years ago....and that's about it. John Feinstein wrote a book about the 78 Duke team...and he devotes a few pages to the URI game. Btw, that 78 PC URI ECAC championship game was epic. I've seen crazy pics of the po...

Re: What would YOU like to ask Coach Hurley?
Does anyone expect an honest answer from Hurley if asked - what are the odds you leave town if Seton Hall or St Johns comes calling. What coach would ever say..."well, this URI gig is good, but I have my sights set on a NYC gig...." C'mon now.....you wont ever get an honest answer from a c...

Re: Women's Uni's
I've enjoyed plenty of female athletic events in my day.
Most recently, the Olympics......women's soccer, gymnastics, swimming, track and field, to name a few.
Maybe that puts me in the minority....but as a wise man once said, I'd rather be right than be in the majority!

Rod, I agree completely.
Either put together a plan to upgrade the program, or downgrade it. The program has been an outcast for a generation now. Enough already.
I have no problem if you killed e program and pumped more resources into Hurley's Heroes!

Re: URI played Brown in a football game yesterday....and...
Politics aside, I don't really care if the governor shows up at this game, a game that only attracted 3300 fans yesterday in Kingston. Very few care about uri football, a perennial loser......does it really matter if the governor doesn't make an appearance, especially if there is more important agen...

Re: brown game
Neil, I think Thorr et al have a desire for URI to excel in football, but what they don't have is the finances to help make this program successful. You can't nickel and dime a football program.....there are too many bodies to recruit. Unlike in basketball, where a school like PC can sign two stud r...

Great insight CT.
I don't think funding will ever change for URI football, if anything the program will get less, not more.
If the team goes winless this year that is truly abyssmal. Once you become a perennial doormat it gets ugly for everyone to look at.

URI played Brown in a football game yesterday....and...
..No one cared.
URI lost 17-7.
Not a single post about the game yesterday. We are now 0-5.
You have to wonder if Rhody will win a game this year.

Both teams will add a lot of transfers to each roster.
Should be a very intriguing matchup for years to come.

ATP, maybe now is not the time to gloat.
Let's not forget that for the better part of a year we've been leveraging a crappy site that frequently crashed.
Those in glass houses should not thrown stones.
Our old site was a joke over the last month. Let's not forget that.
